Boeing emphasized the safety of its 737 Max aircraft and compared China’s Comac C919 to existing offerings from Airbus and Boeing. The company acknowledged that the 737 Max 9 has faced scrutiny but asserted that it is the safest aircraft on the market. Boeing did not showcase any commercial planes at the Singapore Airshow but presented its defense capabilities, including fighter jets and the 777X passenger plane. The Comac C919, viewed as a potential disruptor of the aviation duopoly, recently secured orders from Tibet Airlines and Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Group. Airbus’s CEO stated that the C919 is not expected to have a significant impact on the market.
