Elon Musk Revives Lawsuit Against OpenAI and Sam Altman

Elon Musk has reignited a lawsuit against an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot creator, OpenAI. The lawsuit, filed in federal court, accuses OpenAI and two of its founders of breaching the company’s founding contract by prioritizing commercial interests over the public good. Musk had previously withdrawn the lawsuit without explanation before it was set to be dismissed. The lawsuit alleges that OpenAI’s founders deviated from their mission of developing AI for the benefit of humanity by entering a partnership with Microsoft worth billions of dollars.
