Heard on the Street Tuesday Recap: Tentative Inflation Relief

Stocks rallied on Tuesday in response to a tame inflation report. The producer-price index (PPI) rose 0.1% in July from June, below expectations. On an annual basis, the PPI increased 2.2%, the smallest uptick since March.
