Starbucks has introduced a new drink in China to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Called the ‘Abundant Year Savory Latte,’ it combines Dongpo Braised Pork Flavor Sauce with espresso and steamed milk, garnished with extra pork sauce and pork breast meat. Priced at 68 yuan ($9.45), the drink aims to incorporate traditional New Year customs into coffee. Lunar New Year is a significant holiday in Asia, with millions of trips made within China during the travel season. China is the largest coffee shop market in the world, and Starbucks has been a key player in the country. However, it faces competition from Luckin Coffee, which offers lower-priced drinks.
