NASHVILLE — Thousands of people lined up at a bitcoin conference to hear former President Donald Trump speak about his plans for bitcoin in a potential second term. The conference also included a roundtable discussion with top names in the crypto industry, including the Winklevoss twins, Coinbase’s Chief Legal Officer, and the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald. Attendees had to pay a significant fee to participate in the events, with some mining executives paying around $500,000 for access to Trump. During the closed-door meeting, Trump discussed various topics related to bitcoin and expressed his support for the industry. He also mentioned the possibility of establishing a bitcoin and crypto presidential advisory council. Participants in the fundraisers were left with the impression that they would be part of the council.
